About Us

Yap Originals is the passion of Dawn and Walter Yap. 

We met 12 years ago over a photo and because of our love for photography.  We started Eidetic Studios and shot models and products for companies and portfolios.  As life moved on and became more interesting with travel, babies, and career changes we took a break from shooting professionally.  Friends and family were exclusive clients and we were consumed with photographing everything in our lives.  Once our children grew tired of being the focus of our images we decided to offer our services to others again. 

We find it very rewarding to shoot for individuals and families now instead of the corporate side of things.  Being involved in others’ lives and sharing our gifts and talents has been the best part of coming back.
